Currently nothing has changed.

The IRA have entered the peace process but splinter groups have formed like the Continuity IRA, Provisional IRA, Real IRA.

They were on the news a few days ago.

The provos basically were the IRA along with the OIRA. theyre not the ones continuing today, its the RIRA and the CIRA with backing with afew hardcore veterans of the PIRA.

i agree there will neveer be peace in ireland until the prostent english are removed, right now is just a lull, an act like Bloody sunday or something else will restart the second troubles, just like the second intafadea (how ever you spell it). to see the island reunited you sadly need a combo of Politcs and a militant force, and so i believe to give the IRA a better name and to actually make sure less innocents get hurt is we bring back the P.I.R.A. merge the RIRA and the CIRA into into it and have order brought to the IRA so that we dont have a bunch of little freedom fighters running around with out muich cordination that is borderline terriosm. with the PIRA who is a bit more mature in my opinion we'd be an army again and regain our respect.

And are peacful demonstrations often in the North? Well, Intifada brought to Palestine more terror instead of freedom, let's hope there will be differet with Ireland.
